Companies Overview

Management company portfolio companies overview

The Management Company Portfolio Company view provides a consolidated list of all portfolio companies tracked within the management company context. It is designed to help users review company records, compare key reference data across entities, and move quickly into company-level administration tasks.

This page works as a portfolio register rather than a performance dashboard. Users come here to understand the current company universe, validate core company metadata, and use filters and exports to support operational, reporting, or data quality workflows.

What users can see

The page includes the management-company navigation menu with Dashboard, Portfolio, Investors, Operations, Financials, Reports, and Documents. It also includes a global navigation area with AML, Campaigns, Users, and Valuat Symphony, plus internal links for SFTP and valuatServices.

Within the Portfolio area, the user can switch between Vehicles, Companies, and Funds.

The Companies view shows the total number of companies currently listed.

The main content area contains a company table with portfolio reference fields. Users can see the investment name, exposition type, legal name, tax identifier, country, sector, and base currency for each company record.

What users can do

Users can review all portfolio companies in one place and compare them using a standard operating view. This is useful for checking how consistently company records are maintained across the management company portfolio.

Users can add a new company through the Add Company action. This supports record creation when a new portfolio company needs to be tracked in the platform.

Users can filter the list by country or exposure to focus on a specific subset of companies. This is useful when preparing reports, reviewing jurisdictional exposure, or validating how direct and indirect holdings are represented.

Users can download the table for offline analysis or data review. This makes the page useful not only for navigation but also for operational QA and reporting support.

Users can switch to Vehicles or Funds when they need a different portfolio lens. This keeps the company list connected to the wider portfolio workspace.

Tips for users

  • Start with this page when you need a complete reference view of all portfolio companies across the management company.
  • Use the Country filter to review jurisdictional distribution or identify records that may need localisation checks.
  • Use the Exposition filter to separate direct holdings from indirect exposure when analysing the structure of the portfolio.
  • Scan for N/A values in legal name, tax ID, country, or sector fields, as these usually indicate incomplete records that need cleanup.
  • Check base currency when preparing cross-border reporting or comparing company records across jurisdictions.
  • Download the table when you need to perform bulk review, reconciliation, or data quality checks outside the platform.

Example use case

A portfolio operations user opens this page to review company master data before preparing an internal portfolio report. They filter by country, scan for incomplete fields such as missing tax IDs or sectors, export the list for review, and then update or add company records as needed.
